Hey Boils and Ghouls! So ya wanna know what makes Ol' Chris tick? Well here you go. I've always been a fan of monsters and monsterous things. I was actually not a fan as a small child. I was absolutely petrified of the closet-monster, the under-the- bed-monster, my-older-brother-pretending-to-be-all- those-monsters-monster etc. They held such power over me I tried my damnest to learn EVERYTHING I could about how to fight off any form of child-eater there was. I began watching any horror movie I could as they surely were "instruction manuals" to battle the macabre. I became enamored with the look and FEEL of horror movies. I dreamed monsters. Thats when it hit me, if ya can't beat em... join em. My brother had Dicks Smiths Monster Make-up (he got as a gift when he went to Universal in Ca.) and gave it to me. After that, I made my friends miserable every Halloween and destroyed my basement and front porch every year. It wasn't until 1998 that I finally got the chance to work a real haunted house doing aproximately 30 individual make-ups a day. Next year proved even better as I got the opportunity to work side by side with Tom Savini. Since then I've worked on many features, music videos, shorts, independent projects, and theme parks (3d make-up and airbrush for Howl-O-Scream for 2000-2001 Busch Gardens) and am always looking for a future endevor. This site is just begining and most pics are very old. It'll give ya an idea where I was a while ago and as the new stuff comes out I'll get em posted post haste.
